First, some basics: Check-in time is 3 p.m. on the first day. We will have an informal meet and greet at McCargo Hall the afternoon of the first day as you check in, and enjoy a gourmet cheese platter from the Cowgirl Creamery, and bruschetta with olive oil and tomato, in case you have been sitting on an airplane all day and need a welcome Northern California treat.
Dinner is at 6 p.m. After dinner we will meet again in lovely McCargo Hall at 8:30 p.m. for a short workshop session. At this meeting we can get acquainted with the method, do some writing and settle on plans for the rest of the conference. This hall will be our regular workplace spot.

Transportation to Marconi Conference Center Renting a car is the most direct way to get to Marconi, and it is a beautiful drive. But it is also the most expensive and "navigationally challenging." If you would prefer to take a shuttle from SFO or Oakland Airport to San Rafael and be picked up there and driven to Marconi, that can be arranged. Please let me know as soon as possible by e-mail or phone: 1-800-461-9130 if you would like to arrange this.
For those considering taking an airport shuttle to San Rafael: From Oakland Airport, take the Sonoma County Airport Express
to the San Rafael Transit Center at Third and Heatherton. Sonoma County Airport Express buses leave Oakland Airport at 10, noon, and 2 p.m. They take approximately 1 hour to get to San Rafael. The fare is $24. From SFO, take the Marin Airporter. Marin Airporter buses depart SFO every half hour on the hour and half-hour. They take approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes to get to San Rafael Transit Center at Third and Heatherton. The fare is $19.
The Marconi Conference Center sits above Highway One about 45 miles north of San Francisco. If you would like to know more, please e-mail cary@carytennis.com or call 1-800-461-9130.
